Hire me to make custom wood engravings or woodcuts to illustrate your next project. Provide your own images for me to carve, or hire me to create and carve original illustrations for you.

Email me for rates and to set up a time to discuss your project. Title the email “Commission Request”. In the body of your email, provide me with a brief description of your project, including the scale and scope of the project, and the date it needs to be completed. In most cases I require at least thirty days to complete your job, because the processes of wood engraving and woodcut can be slow going and require a lot of hours to complete. The meticulous and physically demanding nature of the processes take as long as they take, and I'll never trade quality craftsmanship for speed.

Since woman hours for carving vary wildly depending on the unique demands and challenges of every image, it’s difficult to estimate how many hours an image will take to carve. My rates for carving are by the square inch. Rates differ depending on whether I’m making a woodcut or a wood engraving, and whether I’m working from your image, or if I’m also researching and drawing the illustration myself.
